A New Generation of Sustainable High-Performance Concrete
Thermolysis Co., Ltd. has successfully developed an innovative construction material that integrates recycled carbon fiber into traditional concrete—Recycled Carbon Fiber Reinforced Concrete (RCF-Reinforced Concrete). Combining outstanding performance, environmental benefits, and broad application potential, it is a next-generation solution for sustainable building materials.
Using patented high-temperature pyrolysis, Thermolysis recovers carbon fiber from waste carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP). The short recycled carbon fibers are then surface-modified and uniformly dispersed into concrete through proprietary dispersion technology. Once integrated, the fibers are randomly distributed throughout the concrete matrix. When microcracks form, the fibers bridge the cracks, prevent their propagation, and reduce the risk of structural failure—significantly extending the life span of buildings and infrastructure.
RCF-Reinforced Concrete is both low-carbon and certified sustainable:
This dual advantage of performance and sustainability makes it a prime material for eco-conscious construction.
This innovation directly supports global carbon neutrality goals by offering a sustainable and durable material solution. According to market research, demand for high-performance building materials is rising due to urbanization and infrastructure development. The global fiber-reinforced concrete market is projected to reach USD 3.31 billion by 2030, demonstrating strong and growing potential.
Thermolysis Co., Ltd. will continue advancing the application and R&D of recycled carbon fiber reinforced concrete, committed to delivering high-performance, low-carbon building solutions. We strive to shape a more sustainable future—one innovative material at a time.
