Thermolysis Co., Ltd. is equipped with specialized facilities and production lines capable of large-scale processing and mass production. Our core competitiveness lies in our leading pyrolysis technology, extensive practical experience, and exceptional talent. The company is dedicated to developing high-efficiency pyrolysis systems that enhance the effectiveness of waste recycling and regeneration, while enabling cost-effective large-scale production.
In addition, we have established advanced production lines for recycled carbon fiber non-woven fabric and plastic pellets, ensuring consistent product quality and delivering innovative solutions to support the circular economy.
Recycled Carbon Fiber Systems and Equipment
Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic pellets are in high demand due to their broad industrial applications. With industries actively seeking to replace virgin carbon fiber with recycled alternatives, the development of RCF-based pellets is a fast-growing field. However, the production of recycled carbon fiber plastic pellets presents unique challenges: during pyrolysis, sizing agents are removed, and fibers become loose and fluffy, making them difficult to convey using traditional gravity-fed systems. The fibrous material is also prone to bridging, which can clog equipment. To address these challenges, Thermolysis developed proprietary equipment and feeding technologies to ensure stable raw material conveyance and consistent processing. We also optimized our compounding and extrusion systems to ensure uniform fiber dispersion within the plastic matrix, significantly enhancing the mechanical properties and quality of the final product.
Taiwan’s First Certified Carbon Fiber Recycling Enterprise
In early 2023, we applied for and obtained approval for carbon fiber recycling from Taiwan’s Environmental Protection Administration under the “Carbon Fiber Reuse Assessment.” Later that year, in August 2023, we also received approval from the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, for the "Case-by-Case Reuse" of waste carbon fiber. Thermolysis is currently the only certified carbon fiber recycling company in Taiwan.
Non-Woven Fabric Line and Equipment
Carbon fiber non-woven fabric is commonly used as a reinforcing layer in composites to enhance mechanical strength and structural stability. It is also widely applied in electromagnetic shielding, lightweight automotive design, and aerospace structures. Thanks to the corrosion resistance of carbon fiber, non-woven fabrics are also highly valuable in the field of chemical protective materials. Thermolysis operates a dedicated
production line for recycled carbon fiber non-woven fabric, developed through multiple rounds of equipment refinement and process testing. We have overcome key technical challenges in handling recycled carbon fiber and are now capable of producing 100% pure RCF non-woven fabric. Additionally, we can tailor fiber blends with various ratios of synthetic fibers to meet different application needs.
Unlike conventional non-woven machines—typically designed for elastic synthetic fibers or coarse glass fibers—carbon fiber is lightweight with a fine diameter, making it difficult to process using standard equipment. Electrostatic effects often lead to uneven distribution and fiber clumping. We resolved this through specialized opening and carding technology, along with precision needle zone design, ensuring smooth fiber dispersion and stable processing. Our quality control keeps thickness tolerance within ±10%, resulting in recycled carbon fiber non-woven fabrics with superior consistency and performance compared to other market alternatives.
