Supercapacitors

Introduction

Supercapacitors, also known as electric double-layer capacitors (EDLC), use the ions in the electrolyte to adsorb and detach from the electrode surface to perform charge and discharge reactions, and the electric double layer formed on the electrode surface can be used as a dielectric to store energy. Therefore, activated carbon with a large specific surface area can be used as an electrode material to achieve a large-capacity capacitor.

Application

With the ever-changing electronic products and the changing climate, the human demand for electricity is increasing. At present, all parts of the world are responding to the reduction of carbon emissions. Therefore, a material with less environmental pollution and a reusable recycled materials are urgently needed. THERMOLYSIS's technology can make activated carbon be used in the electrode material of super capacitors, which can increase its adsorption to improve the performance of super capacitors. Super capacitors have the characteristics of fast charge and discharge and high volume of repeated charge and discharge, so they can be applied to carbon-reducing electric vehicles Batteries, uninterruptible power systems, electric tools, etc. Compared to general lithium batteries, supercapacitors generate electricity through physical adsorption rather than chemical reactions, so they have less impact on the environmental pollution when decommissioned.
